Is the crisis affecting the Internet?

The network can be one of affected by the crisis, shopping on-line, and all the services related to the ne). We can observe as the shares of big companies in this sector as Google, eBay, Yahoo, and Amazon they have diminished.

¡The trade has descended both in real life and in Internet!.

This can concern the net of a positive form, since the persons can seek for alternatives to the purchases or to use this way to improve and to obtain purchases cheaper. It is possible that it affect positively the e-commerce because all declined in the purchases affect negatively.

We are before a communication form that that does not require any expense(beyond the line ADSL) and that, on the contrary, he avoids the external expense that we obtain when we leave our home. For that people remain more time in home and the can spend more time on Internet.

On the other hand, in the economic topic, it is not any secret that the net has better prices and conditions that normally the shops often rendered.

So it may be a good motive for that customer to increase their relations with Internet.

Why people spend and use more time on Internet? How well the persons in charge of Google were explaining, we are before a business based on the advertising, so, based on the presence and the persons' consumption that it increase the consumption of advertising. So, the great business of Internet, THE ADVERTISING, increases. The firms they seek to show increasingly their advertising on Internet.

All this type of reasons motivate that to today Google (great global Internet reference) he presents raise of benefits and that Internet, therefore, it is the sector whom the crisis seems to have benefited at least not harmed.

Does censure exist on Internet?

One of the keys of the Internet success was the free spirit with the one that it was born. Their creators had clear that the infrastructure of this net must be opened and free for all. This was with the ideal that Internet caughta lot of people, companies, newspapers, televisions … to transmit freedom.

" If we put barriers to this freedom, we are limiting them essence of the Net ". This arguments were the thougth with it was created.

Always it has been said that the censure on Internet was impossible, but all that with the time has been changing.

Always the net has been said that the net not have borders and the location of the information, either. If this was true, it has not about what worrying. But it is not true. First, because the net is not a world totally independent from the material world, but it forms a part of the last one and it influences many factors at the moment of controlling this world.

The authorities of a country can censure.

This it has happened with the Chinese Goverment (case of Google), but also it is possible to see in the governments and some laws that they dictate to cut some thing that they dont like. The governments can give a set of laws, police controls and infrastructure of telecommunications can raise barriers that it insolates the net of this country of the rest of the global network.

We need asking us if the censore must exist or not?

What should be censured and what not!

Internet with total freedom for some peolple could be dangerous.

How Could a company enhance electronic commerce on the web?

I think that the advice is based on perform good practices in electronic commerce and it can be:

• Having a website that complies with the basic recommendations of Web 2.0.
• Positioning the website in one of the mainly search motor because they usually generate more than 80% of traffic.
• Make e-marketing activities are directed as MES (Search Engine Markerting) in search engines and price comparators.

• Taking the opportunity that internet offers adding my product or services in everyplace that it allow me achieve sales or advertising and these can be:
- International markets.
- Auctions.

For example : Ebay.

• Focusing our attemption on existing customer through promotions and newsletters and to enable us to achieve loyalty by word of mouth.
• Taking the power of social networks and virtual communities to reach our target market. For example : Facebook, Tuenti ( in spain), Twitter, Hi5, MySpace….

But fundamentally I recommend that any person or company interested in entering the business world over the Internet is training and advising to reap the full benefits of this new channel. A person who wants to sell over the Internet must have basic knowledge about the tools and resources provided by this new channel for business as well as administration and management of the operations.

E-business refers to all types of electronic business. The term is derived from others as e-mail, e-commerce, generally refers not only buying and selling but also provide services for clients and collaboration with trading partners.

Advantages:

- Low operating costs
- Facilities Monitoring
- Increased investment horizons
- Shared experiences
- Process automation

Disadvantages:

- Effectiveness of Phishing Attacks.
- Effectiveness of Pharming attacks.
- Distrust.
- Little knowledge about others.
- Attempts to international fraud.

In my second entry I am going to talk about the difference between e-business and e-commerce. Normally these concepts are using as synonymous, but they are different and it is important that firms know that difference.

E-commerce: covers the processes by which it reaches consumers, suppliers and business partners, including activities such as sales, marketing, making purchase orders, delivery, consumer services, and managing customer loyalty.
E-business: includes e-commerce, but also covers internal processes such as production, inventory management, product development, risk management, finance, strategy development, knowledge management and human resources.

The e-commerce strategy is narrower, is more oriented to the sales and simpler than other initiatives:

- Allows to analyze how to use the Internet to improve areas such as sales, marketing, purchasing and customer service objectives.
- It can focus on sales and orders taken on the Internet and can be used to make measurements on the growth or decrease in revenue curve.

The e-business strategies have a wider scope, are more challenging, offer more rewards and probably require heavy structural changes within the organization:

- It involves the total redesign of business, changing and reviewing all processes in the company to capture the efficiencies that can provide the use of networking technology.
- The e-business strategies include opportunities for profit, but the main focus is on costs and efficiency in operations.
- The use of an e-Business system provides significant advantages for both the company and the consumer

The following image shows the evolution of companies in the digital world, which initially was only using the e-mail, and how this practice sending and receiving data and information has been evolving.
